Today, the flow of information is a tremendous force that shapes our perceptions, opinions and behaviour, becoming an essential aspect of modern life. The mechanisms to which we are exposed on a daily basis on the one hand are omnipresent and universal, on the other immaterial and ephemeral. We ourselves serve as hubs of this network - modifying or amplifying the signal, depending on our choices and activity. The information stream we are constantly immersed in, within its seemingly democratic structure, processes facts and fictions granting them equal status. Taking the form of text, image or sound, they are Baudrillard's simulacra - representations of facts inaccessible to us, reflections of which become the building blocks of the narratives we use.
